As part of the 1E Nomad solution, it optimizes the delivery of software packages, updates, applications, and operating system images by allowing devices to share content locally, reducing dependence on remote distribution points and minimizing WAN bandwidth usage.

SMSNomadP2P intelligently downloads content once per location or subnet and then securely shares it among peers. It uses policies and bandwidth-aware controls to avoid network congestion, supports resilient fallback to alternate sources when needed, and manages local caches to prevent unnecessary re-downloads. The result is faster, more reliable software distribution at scale with lower infrastructure costs.
